Vivenics at the forefront of worldwide R&D innovation

Being part of the R&D business, whether it is in the pharma industry, food or any other industry, is more exciting than people assume. We guess we, at Vivenics, and most of our blog readers are a bit funny that way, in a positive way of course. Being at the forefront of worldwide R&D IT innovation as a new member of the renowned Pistoia Alliance makes our heart beat even faster!

‘Lab of the future’ working group

The Pistoia Alliance is a global, not-for-profit organization of life science companies, vendors, publishers and academic groups that work together to lower barriers to innovation in R&D. With members like Pfizer, Glaxo Group, AstraZeneca, Bayer and Merck we find ourselves in very good company. Taking part in their ‘Lab of the future’ working group we were immediately invited to join the US Conference on 10 October in Boston. Here, we will discuss topics such as the standardization of data formats to safeguard retrieval of data over decades, as initiated by the Allotrope Foundation and the application of Internet of Things (IoT) in the labs.

Funny enough, research and advisory company Gartner will be acting as a keynote speaker in Boston. This offers us a great opportunity to personally thank them for spontaneously including us in a recent analysis report on lab informatics as IT consulting company.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, we are still working towards expanding our data integrity and data privacy services which include a quick scan for companies on DI, simplifying audit trail reviewing and gamification. On top of that, we are in negotiations with a UK-based R&D informatics company to become their partner for implementation and support of their very competitive data management and analysis software suite.
